RE: Engineer In Charge of IXP
Very glad to hear this Hans. As you say, your router has been in the IX for
a while; Andrew and I had a lot of problems getting the DTE-DTU cable for
the service; UTL never had any in stock, and at the same time, you were
shifting your centre to Wampewo Ave. :(.
Should be in town on Friday, and would be glad to help out Sam, Simon and
Ziggy, when/where possible!
Regards,

Our router is at the IXP location ever since July. Then UTL had problems
with the X.21 cable and the line into our premises, later we shifted to the
new location.
Following this we switched to fiber for our UTL E1 dial-up connectivity and
it took a while to get sorted to either include the IXP line into in the
fiber connection or leave it separate on copper. After Mr. Karamagi
(UTL) brought a new DTU last Saturday we do really hope! to get connected
within the next couple of days.
We are getting there...
Hans

True.. so far 3+1(afsat's router died but will soon be replaced),
plus 1/2(very nearly signing on). Not too bad so far.
