actually, noah was forwarding email from me. and i was answering his
request to explain my comment that it would be good to have bgp-speakers
at the edges of any weakly-connected areas within each isp (or whatever my
overly terse phrasing was the first time).

that will not solve the problem unless you are dumping bgp into ospf, which
might work at very small scale but generally is considered a big no no.

yup. and we're teaching folk the hacks and developing tools to automate at
the workshops this week.
