Yo all,

Everyone can get an AS number if they tell ARIN that they are going to be
joining an IXP in Uganda. We at MTN got it for 2 reasons. 1 because we are
going to be part of an IXP and 2 because we will be doing multi homing soon.
Our BGP is already up and running accross the internet.

On the public AS numbers we can use them to interconnect as long as we do
not export them in our bgp setup towards the internet.

p.s. no word yet from UTL on the pricing for DSL. We are working on getting
the price for Fiber and Wireless local loop.
