Re: comments on proposed setup

Well, I suppose a switch would work just as fine, since it will have
connections to/from all the ISP's communications equipment at the IXP, but
in the interest of future growth and expansion and effective Network
Management Control [NMC] at the IXP to encompass more architectures,
services and applications, not only for the IXP and ISPs, but for the other
end users such as NGOs and other coporations that might require co-location
based services, web hosting, media streaming, the works, at any of the ISPs
that has access to the IXP, I would suggest that we really review the
scenarios, one and two, [despite the fact that scenario two was rather
contentious and would require heavy justification to the guys putting pen to
paper] that were looked at during the last meeting, examine what each will
cost and see what would be best for implementation, flexibilty and future
expansion based on these factors.

However, what Randy said should not be discarded, especially about the L2
route reflector, and it would be a very good idea, I beleive, to discuss
this problem at the next meeting, so we know exactly what we are pitching
ourselves against. Thanks.
